Its very arrogance of us that Pakistan Textile Workers Federation is affiliated with International Textile Garments Leather Workers Federation (ITGLWF)The International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers Federation is a Global union Federation bringing together 217 affiliated organizations in 110 countries
having a very important Aim to undertake solidarity action in support of unions in the sector whose trade union rights are being denied;
ITGLWF have a target to run a programme of education and development aid to assist unions in developing countries in organizing workers and educating their members to play an active role in their union; x
The President is Hisanobu Shimada, General Secretary of UI Zensen of Japan.
The General Secretary is Patrick Itschert who heads up the Secretariat
TWARO is the Asian and Pacific Regional Organization of the International Textile, Garment and Leather Workers’ Federation ( ITGLWF ) which groups together the free and democratic trade unions of textile, to secure the cooperation of textile, garment and leather workers organizations in Asia and the Pacific and to foster consciousness of fellowship among all workers in the trades, without distinction of nationality, race, sex, religious denomination, having a target to preserve and further the economic, social and cultural interests of textile, garment, shoe and leather workers.
The President is Mr. Hisanobu Shimada (Japan) and General Secretary is Ms. Akiko Gono who heads up the secretariat of TWARO located in Tokyo
